Seasoned Senior Database Administrator with 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise‑level relational databases across Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, leveraging performance tuning, backup/recovery, and cloud platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain high‑availability database architectures for Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL environments.
- Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to ensure optimal system throughput.
- Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies, conducting regular tests and audits.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate databases with CI/CD pipelines and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot incidents, and provide 24/7 on‑call support for critical production systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands‑on DBA experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Deep expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Proven experience with backup/recovery tools, replication, and high‑availability solutions.
- Strong scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell, Python) and familiarity with Linux/Unix administration.
- Experience deploying and managing databases in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
