About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the enterprise data architecture strategy, aligning it with clinical and business objectives across acute‑care EHR and interoperability platforms.
- Design, prototype, and oversee implementation of cloud‑native data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouses using AWS services and modern big‑data technologies.
- Establish data governance, security, and compliance frameworks that meet healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH) and support HL7/FHIR standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and clinical teams to translate requirements into scalable ETL/ELT solutions and robust data models.
- Mentor technical staff, conduct architecture reviews, and ensure best practices for performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and delivering large‑scale data solutions, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS), data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift), and big‑data tools (Spark, Kafka).
- Strong command of SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Hands‑on knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts, and influence strategic decisions.
