About The Team
The Applied AI Market Intelligence team (MINT) at Walmart is building best-in-class cutting-edge solutions powered by innovation in SLMs, LLMs, and computer vision models, leveraging state-of-the-art architectures and methodologies with ample opportunity for innovation and experiments. MINT is developing a state-of-the-art SaaS platform that combines engineering and data science practices. The team aims to empower functional leaders in merchandising/marketplace, product managers, developers, data scientists, and data analysts through data-led services for customers and sellers. The strategy is to enhance business outcomes through high-quality knowledge distribution and automated decision-making. MINT derives retail insights by building predictive modeling triggers to optimize utility or risk functions and establishing an ecosystem for rapid iterative experiments to validate and productize hypotheses quickly. These capabilities drive customer satisfaction through catalog growth, item discoverability at low cost, and pricing automation.
