Data Scientist
Lead advanced analytics for a music distribution platform, building scalable ML models and data pipelines to unlock insights for artists, brands, and fans using Python, SQL, and AWS services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy end‑to‑end machine learning models that drive artist discovery, recommendation, and revenue optimization.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and feature stores on AWS, ensuring data quality and real‑time availability for analytics.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions and actionable insights.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and A/B testing to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
- Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in reproducible research and model governance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in a fast‑moving tech or media environment.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience with ML libraries such as scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Hands‑on experience building data pipelines and deploying models on AWS (S3, Redshift, SageMaker, Lambda).
- Strong statistical background and ability to communicate complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and containerization (Docker) is a plus.
