We are looking for a senior or lead level data scientist to work on our predictive analytics and operations optimization product. You will work closely with our engineering team to bring fresh ideas from initial technical concept/design, to architecture, implementation, deployment and onwards.
What You Will Do
- Build, improve and lead Kiwi’s demand prediction models and optimization capabilities from a data science perspective for urban mobility and logistics networks.
- Research, experiment and apply non-traditional approaches to identify patterns, produce automated demand predictions and optimizations by working with various data sources: geospatial data, vehicle fleet data, human traffic, events, etc.
- Expose predictive and optimization insights through existing APIs in a production-ready quality.
- Establish and lead scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analysis, model development, model validation and model implementation.
- Define metrics to help us understand our product’s performance & work with engineering to implement the necessary instrumentation.
- Test our product changes by running A/B tests or other causal inference techniques.
- Influence product strategy with foundational analysis by partnering with product managers, engineers and design to create & communicate insights that directly drive major product decisions.
- Coach and mentor junior members of the team as the team grows.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of professional experience in data science and machine learning.
- Strong understanding of mathematical foundations of Machine Learning models.
- Excellent pattern recognition, demand prediction, modelling and optimization skills.
- Excellent command of Python or R and a query language.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strives for excellence, improves the state-of-the-art within the team and learns and applies best practices.
- Values and practices open communication, self-improvement and work ethics.
- Desired: Kaggle, Github or relevant profiles/links on your cv.
