Senior Data Scientist, Responsible AI - Empower Careers

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and productionize machine‑learning models that adhere to responsible AI principles such as fairness, explainability, and privacy.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams to embed ethical AI guidelines into the end‑to‑end data pipeline.
• Conduct statistical analysis and bias audits on large‑scale financial datasets, delivering actionable insights to mitigate risk.
• Implement and maintain scalable model training and inference workflows on AWS, leveraging services like SageMaker, Lambda, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices for reproducible research and model governance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, with a proven track record of deploying production models.
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Deep understanding of responsible AI concepts, bias detection, model interpretability, and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
• Hands‑on experience with statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Experience building and managing cloud‑based ML pipelines on AWS.
