Data Scientist
Lead advanced analytics projects, build predictive models and drive data‑driven product decisions using Python, machine learning, statistical techniques and cloud platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine‑learning models to solve business problems and improve learner outcomes.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to translate requirements into data pipelines and analytical solutions.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical testing, and feature engineering on large, heterogeneous datasets.
- Create clear visualisations and dashboards to communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best‑practice standards for data science workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and strong SQL querying skills.
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, experiment design, and evaluation metrics.
- Experience building and deploying models on cloud platforms such as AWS (SageMaker, EC2, S3).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex analyses into actionable business recommendations.
