About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantitative analyses of large‑scale claims and administrative data to assess the impact of CMS Innovation Center (CMMI) models and other payment/delivery reforms.
- Develop, validate, and deploy predictive and causal machine‑learning models to support program evaluation and ongoing monitoring.
- Lead technical teams, mentor junior analysts, and ensure best practices in data handling, reproducibility, and documentation.
- Collaborate with policy experts, clinicians, and stakeholders to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
- Prepare clear visualizations, technical reports, and presentations for senior leadership and external partners.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Statistics, Computer Science, Health Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of professional experience applying Python, R, and SQL to large health‑care datasets (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, claims).
- Proven expertise in statistical modeling, causal inference, and machine‑learning methods for policy evaluation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical results to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and version‑control workflows is preferred.
