About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines that ingest, clean, and label EO and SAR imagery for model training.
- Apply statistical and quantitative methods to evaluate data quality, bias, and representativeness.
- Develop visualizations and dashboards that communicate data insights to cross‑functional teams.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to partition datasets for optimal model performance and reproducibility.
- Research and integrate emerging remote‑sensing techniques to enhance data value for the Maven program.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Geospatial Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with Python‑based data analysis, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, and PyTorch/TensorFlow.
- Proven expertise in geospatial analytics, remote sensing, and processing of EO/SAR imagery.
- Strong background in statistical modeling, experimental design, and data validation.
- Ability to translate complex data challenges into actionable pipelines and visual products for stakeholders.
