Senior Data Scientist - DoorDash Australia

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Strategy & Operations and ANZ executive leaders to define analytical objectives and translate business questions into data solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain predictive and prescriptive models using Python, statistical techniques, and machine learning to forecast key performance indicators.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses of KPI trends, perform A/B test evaluations, and generate clear, data‑driven recommendations.
• Create compelling visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) that communicate insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Automate data pipelines and reporting workflows using SQL and modern data engineering practices to ensure timely, reliable information.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles, preferably within a fast‑moving consumer or logistics environment.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn) and SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis.
• Strong foundation in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design (A/B testing).
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations and visual storytelling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing senior leadership.
