Senior Data Scientist role leading advanced analytics initiatives, building predictive models and data pipelines using Python, SQL, and machine learning techniques on cloud platforms such as AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine‑learning models to solve business problems.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and SQL.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and editorial teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
- Perform statistical analysis and A/B testing to evaluate model performance and impact.
- Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in code quality and reproducibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and advanced SQL.
- Strong background in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud services (AWS S3, EC2, SageMaker) and containerisation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
