Senior Data Scientist & Machine Learning Researcher - Raytheon

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and productionize machine‑learning and deep‑learning models for high‑impact projects.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and statistical modeling to extract actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into data‑driven solutions.
• Mentor junior data scientists, review code, and promote best practices in reproducible research.
• Stay current with state‑of‑the‑art AI research and evaluate emerging tools and frameworks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science or machine‑learning research.
• Strong proficiency in Python and libraries such as pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Experience with SQL and handling large, complex datasets.
• Proven track record of delivering production‑ready ML models and publishing research findings.
