Data Scientist
Lead the design and deployment of cutting‑edge ML and AI solutions for economic research, leveraging Python, NLP, generative models and network analytics to inform policy decisions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype and scale machine learning and AI models to support macroeconomic research and policy analysis.
- Develop generative AI and NLP pipelines for large text corpora, ensuring robustness and reproducibility.
- Implement agent‑based and network analytics frameworks to model complex economic interactions.
- Collaborate with economists, data engineers and policy makers to translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations.
- Document methodologies, maintain code quality, and contribute to open‑source tools within the analytics team.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent experience in data science, economics, statistics or a related field.
- Proven expertise in Python, machine learning libraries (scikit‑learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) and advanced NLP techniques.
- Hands‑on experience with generative AI models (e.g., GPT, diffusion models) and network/agent‑based modeling.
- Strong analytical mindset, ability to communicate complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and version control (Git) is desirable.
