Lead advanced data science initiatives in life sciences, developing machine‑learning models and analytics pipelines using Python, statistical methods, and cloud platforms to drive diagnostic and biotechnological innovation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine‑learning models and statistical analyses to solve complex problems in diagnostics and biotechnology.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud‑based infrastructure (AWS) for large‑scale experimental and production data.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional scientists, engineers, and product teams to translate domain knowledge into actionable data‑driven solutions.
- Create clear visualizations and reports that communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best‑practice standards for reproducible research and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Engineering).
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Python, machine‑learning libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), and statistical modeling.
- Proven ability to develop and operationalize data pipelines on AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, SageMaker, etc.).
- Strong data‑visualization skills using tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or Tableau.
- Excellent problem‑solving communication skills and a track record of delivering impact in life‑science or biotech environments.
