About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and analysts to deliver high‑impact insights for user growth, security, product, and enterprise functions.
- Design and oversee end‑to‑end analytical pipelines, from data ingestion and feature engineering to model development and deployment.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define metrics, run rigorous A/B tests, and translate findings into concrete product and revenue decisions.
- Drive the adoption of scalable machine‑learning solutions and big‑data technologies on cloud platforms to ensure reproducibility and performance at TikTok’s scale.
- Establish best practices for data governance, experiment design, and impact measurement across multiple business lines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on data science experience with a proven track record of building and deploying machine‑learning models in production.
- Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and big‑data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink) on cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
- Deep understanding of experimental design, A/B testing, and statistical inference applied to product and growth initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to grow and inspire technical teams and to communicate complex insights to senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with large‑scale user‑generated content platforms or consumer internet products is a plus.
