Senior Data Science & AI Specialist - ABB

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine‑learning and deep‑learning models to optimize industrial process automation.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring high‑quality data for analytics and AI workloads.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate AI solutions into existing digital platforms and control systems.
• Conduct experiments, evaluate model performance, and iterate rapidly to meet accuracy and latency targets.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior data scientists and contribute to R&D roadmaps for emerging AI technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data science, machine learning, or AI research, preferably in industrial or process‑automation domains.
• Proficiency in Python and its scientific stack (NumPy, pandas, scikit‑learn) and deep‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong background in data engineering, including SQL, data modeling, and building scalable ETL pipelines.
• Experience containerizing applications with Docker and deploying them in cloud or on‑prem environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication for cross‑team collaboration.
