Senior SRE responsible for end‑to‑end resolution of complex incidents on Databricks and Snowflake data platforms across Azure and AWS, driving operational excellence, implementing guardrails, and mentoring junior engineers.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical escalation point for high‑complexity incidents on Databricks and Snowflake environments.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve non‑trivial issues across Azure and AWS cloud infrastructures.
- Design, implement, and maintain platform guardrails, automation scripts, and monitoring solutions to improve reliability.
- Collaborate with governance and engineering teams to define and enforce best‑practice operational standards.
- Mentor and coach junior SREs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational maturity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or production support for large‑scale data platforms.
- Deep expertise with Databricks and Snowflake, including performance tuning and security configuration.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure and AWS cloud services.
- Proven track record of incident management, root‑cause analysis, and automation using scripting or infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to mentor technical teams.
