Data Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data platform services using Java/Kotlin microservices on OpenShift, ensuring high availability, performance, and secure data pipelines.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain Java/Kotlin microservices that ingest, process, and expose large-scale data sets on OpenShift.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes deployments to ensure rapid, reliable releases.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable data services.
- Optimize performance, monitor health, and troubleshoot production issues across distributed systems.
- Enforce security best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java/Kotlin development with a strong focus on microservices.
- Hands‑on experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, SQL/NoSQL databases, and data pipeline concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.
