About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data governance frameworks across multiple domains, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and CDAO standards.
- Develop and maintain data quality metrics, dashboards, and automated profiling pipelines to monitor data integrity and consistency.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to define data lineage, lineage documentation, and impact analysis for critical data assets.
- Lead the creation and upkeep of enterprise data catalogs, enabling self‑service access and discoverability for analysts and scientists.
- Drive continuous improvement of data processes, including data cleansing, enrichment, and validation using SQL and Python scripts.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on data stewardship, master data management, and metadata standards across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or related roles within a large enterprise or federal environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tooling (e.g., Informatica, Talend, or similar).
- Hands‑on experience with metadata management and data catalog solutions (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for cross‑functional teams.
