Data Engineer
Lead the design, build, and reliability of a cloud‑native data lakehouse on Azure, creating scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that deliver analytics‑ready Gold tables with high data quality and observability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines from raw ingestion to analytics‑ready Gold tables on Azure.
- Design scalable, maintainable ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL.
- Collaborate with data analysts, analytics engineers, and product stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver trusted data at speed.
- Champion data quality, lineage, and observability practices, implementing monitoring, alerting, and automated testing.
- Drive platform‑level improvements, ensuring performance, cost efficiency, and security across the data lakehouse.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on cloud data platforms.
- Proficiency in Azure services (Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) and SQL.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Hands‑on experience with data quality frameworks, observability tools, and automated testing.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with analysts and product teams.
