Data Engineer
Senior Data Engineer with 5+ years designing and delivering BI, data warehouse and data lake solutions, leveraging ETL pipelines, big‑data tools, cloud services and visualization platforms to enable data‑driven decision making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into on‑premises and cloud‑based data warehouses and data lakes.
- Architect and implement data models, including semantic layers, to support self‑service BI and advanced analytics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data scientists to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
- Optimize performance and cost of big‑data processing jobs using tools such as Spark, Flink, or Hadoop.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across the entire data lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with BI, data warehousing, data lake architectures, and ETL development.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with big‑data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of data architecture, semantic modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
