Lead end‑to‑end data engineering for a cloud data platform, building scalable pipelines in Snowflake, orchestrating with Airflow, and modeling with dbt while driving CI/CD, cost efficiency, and robust data governance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Snowflake, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Implement and manage dbt models, tests, and documentation to support data quality and lineage.
- Orchestrate complex workflows with Airflow, integrating CI/CD practices for automated deployment and monitoring.
- Analyze and optimize cloud storage and compute costs, proposing and implementing cost‑saving strategies.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, including data cataloging, access controls, and audit trails.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and modern CI/CD tooling (Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Strong understanding of cloud cost management and optimization techniques.
- Experience with data governance frameworks and metadata management.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
