Data Engineer
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing large‑scale log data pipelines on Azure, enabling predictive maintenance through advanced analytics and collaboration with data science teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest and process 15–20 years of machine log data.
- Implement robust log parsing, pattern extraction, and transformation workflows on Azure services.
- Monitor pipeline performance, ensure reliability, and continuously optimize throughput and cost.
- Write and tune complex queries using Kusto Query Language (KQL) and SQL for analytics and reporting.
- Partner with data scientists to deliver predictive and proactive maintenance use cases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience building data pipelines and ETL processes in Azure.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
- Strong knowledge of KQL and SQL for querying large datasets.
- Experience with log data ingestion, parsing, and pattern extraction at scale.
- Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and translate business needs into technical solutions.
