Data Engineer
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and warehouses using Python, SQL, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS to support analytics and machine‑learning initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into cloud data warehouses.
- Implement workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow to ensure reliable, repeatable data processing.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to define data models and deliver high‑quality data sets for reporting and ML workloads.
- Optimize query performance and storage costs in Snowflake and other cloud platforms (AWS Redshift, BigQuery).
- Establish data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to guarantee data integrity and availability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building data pipelines and data warehouses in a cloud environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands‑on experience in Airflow for orchestration.
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake (or similar) and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and Glue.
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning for large‑scale datasets.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate technical concepts clearly to cross‑functional teams.
