Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing large‑scale data pipelines on cloud platforms using Python, SQL, Airflow and Snowflake, while ensuring reliability and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into cloud data warehouses.
- Implement workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow, ensuring reliable scheduling, monitoring, and error handling.
- Optimize data models and query performance in Snowflake and other cloud storage solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Establish best practices for data quality, governance, and security on AWS infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and pipeline development.
- Hands‑on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouses) and AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, etc.).
- Proven ability to design scalable data models and optimize complex queries for performance.
