Data Engineer
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and models to support regulatory risk reporting, leveraging Python, SQL, AWS, and big‑data technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust data pipelines for regulatory risk datasets using Python, SQL, and AWS services (Glue, Redshift, S3).
- Design and maintain data models that enable accurate, timely risk reporting and compliance analysis.
- Collaborate with data scientists, compliance officers, and business stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize performance and cost of data workflows, ensuring high availability and data quality.
- Document architecture, processes, and best practices for future maintenance and audit purposes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in a regulated financial environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS data services.
- Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and big‑data technologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Fluent in German and English, with strong communication skills.
