About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the modernization of the client’s data warehouse, transitioning to a Lakehouse architecture that supports scalable analytics and reporting.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Python and SQL to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to define data models, governance, and quality standards.
- Implement and manage cloud-based data services on AWS, ensuring performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows, providing proactive solutions to data quality and latency issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in SQL and Python.
- Hands‑on experience with data warehousing concepts and Lakehouse implementations.
- Proficiency in AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena).
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and data pipeline orchestration.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
