Senior Data Engineer with 5–8 years of experience building governed data products, scalable ingestion pipelines, and high‑performance lakehouse solutions using Apache Iceberg, Python, SQL, and AWS services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement governed data products on Apache Iceberg, ensuring robust schema evolution and auditability.
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, and lineage tracking to guarantee data quality.
- Optimize storage layouts and query performance across the data lakehouse environment.
- Collaborate with analytics and AI teams to enable seamless data consumption.
- Support data governance initiatives and enforce best‑practice standards.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Proficiency with Apache Iceberg, Python, SQL, and AWS data services.
- Strong background in data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Spark and lakehouse architectures is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to implement data quality, validation, and lineage solutions.
