Data Engineer
Lead the design, development and maintenance of a modern Microsoft Fabric data platform, building scalable ETL pipelines and delivering actionable insights through Power BI dashboards for a higher‑education institution.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain data models, data lakes, and data warehouses to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design and publish Power BI dashboards and reports, optimizing for performance and user experience.
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices across the data platform.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote data engineering best practices within the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in Microsoft Azure services.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL tooling, particularly Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
- Hands‑on experience building and maintaining Power BI solutions.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in an educational environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
