Data Engineer
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and models using Python, SQL and cloud platforms to support fraud investigation analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines that ingest, transform and load large volumes of structured and unstructured data into data warehouses.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to model data for advanced fraud detection and reporting.
- Implement and optimise data storage solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot issues and implement automated alerts for data quality and latency.
- Document data architecture, processes and best practices for internal teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong Python and SQL skills.
- Hands‑on experience building ETL workflows and data pipelines using modern orchestration tools.
- Solid understanding of cloud data services (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, BigQuery, GCS).
- Experience with data modelling, schema design and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
