Senior Data Engineer specializing in Oracle Exadata platform, responsible for administration, performance tuning, and building scalable data pipelines using SQL, PL/SQL, Python and cloud services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle Exadata environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Design, develop, and optimize large‑scale ETL pipelines and data warehousing solutions using SQL, PL/SQL, and Python.
- Implement performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster‑recovery strategies for critical data workloads.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application teams to deliver reliable data services and support analytics initiatives.
- Integrate Exadata with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Exadata administration and performance optimization.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data warehouse architectures.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments and cloud services such as AWS.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work cross‑functionally, and strong communication abilities.
