Senior Data Engineer building scalable Snowflake data warehouses with Medallion Architecture, designing high‑performance ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensuring data quality, governance, and BI readiness for enterprise analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data warehouse solutions using the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) on Snowflake.
- Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring high throughput and low latency for downstream analytics.
- Develop robust data models and SQL transformations, including stored procedures, to support reporting, analytics, and self‑service BI.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver actionable insights.
- Implement data quality checks, lineage tracking, and governance policies across all layers of the architecture.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve cost efficiency of data processing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with deep expertise in Snowflake and SQL.
- Proven track record designing and deploying Medallion Architecture data warehouses.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT best practices, data modeling, and data governance.
- Experience with BI tools and self‑service analytics platforms.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
