Data Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and architecture to support risk and regulatory reporting, leveraging Python, SQL, AWS, and Big Data technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust, scalable data pipelines for risk and regulatory reporting using Python, SQL, and Spark on AWS.
- Design and maintain data models, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance policies.
- Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize performance and cost of data workflows, implementing best practices for data quality, lineage, and security.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement of data engineering processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on risk or regulatory domains.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark, with hands‑on experience on AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR).
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL design, and data governance frameworks.
- Experience with big data technologies and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
