Senior Data Engineer responsible for building scalable backend APIs and data pipelines, leveraging Python, SQL, and AWS to deliver robust data solutions and support enterprise analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend APIs for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Build and optimize data pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
- Implement DataOps practices: CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and documentation.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data assets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS cloud services.
- Strong understanding of API design (RESTful/GraphQL) and versioning.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Prefect) and containerization (Docker).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
