Data Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Python, SQL, AWS, and Spark to empower a mission‑driven organization improving long‑term care experiences.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store large volumes of healthcare and care‑ecosystem data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency on AWS infrastructure.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data integrity across the platform.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best‑practice documentation and coding standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in Python, SQL, and AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR).
- Proficiency in building ETL pipelines using Spark or similar big‑data frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing for data workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset in a cross‑functional environment.
