Data Engineer
Lead end‑to‑end data engineering for a construction‑tech platform, building scalable pipelines, data models, and cloud solutions using Python, SQL, and AWS to support AI‑driven decision making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store large volumes of construction‑related data.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to define data models, schemas, and metadata standards that enable advanced analytics and AI workflows.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes using Python, SQL, and AWS services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda) to ensure high data quality and performance.
- Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and implement automated alerts and logging for reliability.
- Document architecture, data flows, and best practices to support knowledge transfer and compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in Python and SQL.
- Proven expertise in AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda) and experience building scalable, production‑grade pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and ETL best practices.
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hive, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
