About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive port‑by‑port network discovery in live production environments without service interruption.
- Map and document switch‑to‑switch connectivity, server, storage, and SAN relationships.
- Identify and record fiber, power, and other infrastructure dependencies critical to migration success.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate discovery data and resolve discrepancies.
- Produce detailed technical documentation and diagrams for migration planning and execution.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data center connectivity discovery and port mapping.
- Proficiency with SAN, fiber optics, and power infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in high‑availability production settings and manage critical tasks under tight deadlines.
