Devops Engineer
Lead the design and deployment of cloud‑native data pipelines for CAD and GIS assets, leveraging Python, AWS, and advanced GIS tools to deliver scalable, secure solutions for complex spatial data environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines for CAD and GIS datasets on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud services such as S3, Redshift, and Athena.
- Integrate GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD workflows into cloud infrastructure, automating data processing and quality checks.
- Collaborate with data scientists and GIS analysts to define data models, schemas, and metadata standards.
- Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and enforce security best practices across the data platform.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance, providing proactive incident response and capacity planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on spatial or CAD data.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud services (AWS).
- Hands‑on experience with GIS software and CAD data formats.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, IaC, and data security principles.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
