About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain catastrophe exposure models and pricing tools for the Canadian portfolio.
- Perform portfolio analysis to generate actionable insights for underwriting, risk management, and reinsurance decisions.
- Prepare regulatory and reinsurance reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Canadian requirements.
- Collaborate with the US Catastrophe Modeling team to align methodologies, share best practices, and standardize data pipelines.
- Design and deliver interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or actuarial roles within the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and model development.
- Hands‑on experience with catastrophe modeling concepts and actuarial pricing techniques.
- Strong ability to translate complex data into clear visualizations and reports using Tableau.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work across geographic teams.
