About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes for large VHA datasets.
- Perform advanced data analysis and modeling to support the VA’s EHRM Rapid Decision‑Making program.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with federal healthcare standards.
- Mentor junior analysts and act as the technical point of contact for cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a federal healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong background in ETL design, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience building visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Deep functional knowledge of VHA systems, processes, and procedures.
