Senior Data Analyst driving security and operational insights across multiple Australian jurisdictions, leveraging Python, SQL, Tableau and advanced statistical techniques to inform critical decisions and strengthen integrity.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines and dashboards to deliver actionable insights for security and operations teams.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling to identify trends, risks and opportunities across diverse datasets.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define data requirements, translate business questions into analytical solutions, and present findings in clear, visual formats.
- Ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with privacy and security standards across multiple jurisdictions.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of analytical methodologies and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong background in Python, SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Proven ability to build and maintain data warehouses, ETL processes and automated reporting solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex analytical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working within a government or security‑focused environment is an advantage.
