Data Analyst
Senior Data Analyst responsible for extracting, transforming, and visualizing municipal data to support decision‑making, using SQL, Python, and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to consolidate citywide datasets.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI that translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling using Python to identify trends and support policy development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including public works, finance, and planning, to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Document data definitions, methodologies, and best practices, and provide training to non‑technical staff on data interpretation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation across relational databases.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit‑learn.
- Demonstrated expertise with Tableau and Power BI for building dashboards and visual analytics.
