About the role
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support newsroom analytics.
Perform deep statistical analysis and predictive modeling to uncover audience trends and content performance.
Create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau that enable editorial and leadership teams to make data‑driven decisions.
Collaborate with journalists, product managers, and engineers to define metrics, data requirements, and reporting standards.
Mentor junior analysts, establish best practices, and champion a culture of data literacy across the organization.
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in data analysis or analytics, preferably in media or nonprofit environments.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and statistical modeling.
Strong expertise with Tableau (or comparable BI tools) to build clear, actionable visualizations.
Solid understanding of statistical methods, A/B testing, and predictive analytics.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into concise recommendations for non‑technical stakeholders.
