Security Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of secure over-the-air update systems for electric transit buses, ensuring robust cybersecurity, reliable firmware delivery, and compliance with automotive standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop secure OTA update pipelines for embedded Linux platforms used in electric transit buses.
- Implement and maintain secure boot, cryptographic key management, and firmware integrity checks.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and network teams to integrate OTA functionality into vehicle control systems.
- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing of OTA components.
- Define and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices across the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in embedded cybersecurity and OTA update development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Linux kernel development.
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic protocols, secure boot, and firmware signing.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and OTA frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
