About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Authority to Operate (ATO) process for federal clients, preparing and reviewing security documentation to meet NIST SP 800‑53 requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security control testing to identify gaps and recommend remediation.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to contain and mitigate threats.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks tailored to government regulations.
- Provide expert guidance on security architecture, configuration hardening, and continuous monitoring solutions.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- 5+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity, ATO, or related roles.
- Deep knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53, FedRAMP, and other government security standards.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools, SIEM platforms, and incident response methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
