Lead security initiatives for classified DoD programs, mentoring teams, designing secure architectures, and ensuring compliance with NIST and DoD standards while maintaining Top Secret clearance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security architecture design and threat modeling for classified Information Systems supporting DAF and USSF missions.
- Mentor and coach cross‑functional teams on secure development practices and compliance requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls aligned with NIST, DoD, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and reporting for classified environments.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security engineering for classified DoD or space force programs.
- Deep knowledge of threat modeling, security architecture, and risk assessment frameworks.
- Proficiency in secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team‑collaboration skills.
