Security Engineer
Senior Cyber Security Engineer leading identity, access, cross‑domain and security operations for an Intelligence Community client, leveraging IAM, network security, incident response and cloud security expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) infrastructure to support secure user provisioning and authentication.
- Operate and troubleshoot cross‑domain solutions, ensuring data flow between classified and unclassified networks complies with policy.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents across the environment, coordinating with incident response teams.
- Manage security infrastructure components, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and cloud security controls.
- Conduct regular IT audit activities, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks to meet Intelligence Community standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security engineering, with a focus on IAM, cross‑domain, and security operations.
- Strong knowledge of network security technologies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Hands‑on experience with incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST 800‑53, RMF).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, or equivalent.
