About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor cross‑functional teams of engineers and software developers in the design, prototyping, and deployment of AI‑enabled cyber analytics.
- Develop and apply advanced machine‑learning models and operations‑research techniques to detect, predict, and mitigate asymmetric threats.
- Translate complex security problems into scalable data pipelines and analytical workflows using Python and related libraries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with national security objectives.
- Produce technical documentation, research reports, and presentations for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience applying machine learning, AI, or data‑driven analytics to cybersecurity or defense problems.
- Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn).
- Strong background in operations research, optimization, or statistical modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.
