QA Engineer
Senior engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing control and automation solutions for large‑scale mining and energy projects, leveraging PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and commission PLC, SCADA, and DCS control strategies for mining and energy projects.
- Create and configure HMI graphics, alarm management, and operator interfaces to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
- Lead integration of instrumentation, field devices, and communication networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of control systems on‑site and in the field.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in control system design, PLC programming, and SCADA/DCS implementation for large industrial projects.
- Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens), SCADA tools (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition), and HMI development.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus) and safety standards (IEC 61511, ISA‑84).
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills, with ability to work in a global project delivery environment.
