Lead continuous improvement initiatives in a high‑volume switchgear manufacturing environment, driving Lean and Six Sigma projects, data‑driven process optimization, and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance quality, speed, and cost efficiency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and sustain Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects across the manufacturing floor, focusing on cycle time reduction, defect elimination, and cost savings.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize production data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Develop and maintain process maps, value‑stream maps, and standard work documentation to ensure consistent, high‑quality output.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, cross‑functional workshops, and training sessions for plant personnel on continuous improvement tools and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply‑chain teams to integrate improvement initiatives into new facility design and production planning.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing continuous improvement, preferably in power distribution or related sectors.
- Proven expertise in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), and data‑driven problem‑solving.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical tools (Minitab, JMP) and data visualization (Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to lead cross‑functional teams and drive change.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and knowledge of high‑volume production environments.
